25 Jahre Hunterverein Mollis

On Saturday, September 4th, the Mollis hunter association celebrated its 25th anniversary with a little air show. The background of the association is the preservation of the “Graffity Hunter” J-4015, which is no longer flying but is still kept in a good condition in a hangar in Mollis. It was not clear whether a Hunter would fly again for this special occasion, but finally 3 Hunters were in the flight program: the two double-seaters HB-RVR and HB-RVV and as well as the “Papyrus” single-seater HB-RVS from St. Stephen. Another highlight was the presence of a Eurofighter from Neuburg from the “Bavarian Tigers”. I drove to Mollis on Monday again for the departure of this specially painted jet - and it was definitely worth it!

Am Samstag, 4. September, feierte der Hunterverein Mollis mit einer kleinen Airshow sein 25-Jahr-Jubiläum. Hintergrund des Vereins ist der Erhalt des «Graffity Hunters» J-4015, welcher zwar nicht mehr flugfähig, aber nach wie vor in tadellosem Zustand in einem Hangar in Mollis erhalten wird. Es war nicht klar, ob überhaupt ein Hunter zu diesem besonderen Anlass wieder fliegen würde, doch letztlich waren 3 Hunter im Flugprogramm zu sehen: die beiden Doppelsitzer HB-RVR und HB-RVV sowie der „Papyrus“-Einsitzer HB-RVS aus St. Stephan. Ein Highlight war auch die Anwesenheit eines Eurofighters aus Neuburg der „Bavarian Tigers“. Für den Abflug dieses sonderlackierten Jets bin ich dann am Montag extra noch einmal nach Mollis gefahren – und es hat sich definitiv gelohnt!
