Air Zermatt, Winter 2017

The "Air Zermatt" was founded in 1968 with a helicopter, a pilot and a mechanic. Currently, the company employs about 65 people on the three bases Gampel, Raron and Zermatt. Nine helicopters are flying today in the fleet of "Air Zermatt": 2 Lamas, 5 Ecureuils and the two twin-motor EC 135 and Bell 429. These Helicopters are sometimes to carry out transport operations, but they are mainly used for rescue missions and tourist flights. I've visited the bases of the "Air Zermatt" already many times. During a on the "Gornergrat" in March 2017 I was once more on the helicopter base in Zermatt and took there some pictures of the "red angels" with the white stars.

Bell 429, HB-ZSU, Air Zermatt

Die „Air Zermatt“ wurde 1968 mit einem Helikopter, einem Piloten und einem Mechaniker gegründet. Derzeit beschäftigt das Unternehmen rund 65 Mitarbeiter an den drei Standorten Gampel, Raron und Zermatt. Neun Helikopter fliegen heute in der Flotte der „Air Zermatt“: 2 Lamas, 5 Ecureuils und die beiden zweimotorigen EC 135 und Bell 429. Diese Helikopter dienen manchmal der Durchführung von Transporteinsätzen, werden aber hauptsächlich für Rettungseinsätze und eingesetzt Touristenflüge. Ich habe die Stützpunkte der „Air Zermatt“ schon oft besucht. Bei einem Ausflug auf den Gornergrat im März 2017 war ich noch einmal auf der Helikopterbasis in Zermatt und habe dort einige Bilder der „roten Engel“ mit den weißen Sternen gemacht.
